Yarm (pr. y�rm) occurs as settlement which for ceremonial purposes is in the North Riding of Yorkshire in England. It was foremost mentioned in the Domesday Book of 1086, and marked a prevent of the tidal subdivision of the River Tees until the Tees Barrage was built in Stockton. Geography

Yarm is bordered by 2 rivers. A River Tees is located in a north, & the Leven to the East. A Leven occurs as feeder to the Tees. It used to be that there was a port at Yarm, by owning merchandiser vessels travelling to Yarm higher the Tees. Viaduct and railway stations
A imposing 2,280ft hanker railway viaduct was constructed between 1849 & 1851 for the Leeds & Northern Railway companies. Its designers were Thomas Grainger & John Bourne. A structure is 7 million bricks, & has 43 arches. A original Yarm train depot, at present closed, wont to exist as placed on the Eaglescliffe side of a river at the northerly prevent of the viaduct. A un-remote-controlled modern station, opened within 1996, is now placed to the south of Yarm.

The fair is held on the Thursday to Saturday of the third week within October in the High Street. It was it used to be that the commercial fair that trade cheese & farm animal, however has turn into the fun fair, although travellers still attend the fair, & ride horses higher & down the street on the Saturday. People
Population associated sustaining a town include John Wesley, founder of Methodism, Tom Brown, hero in the Battle of Dettingen.

Twinned towns
Yarm is twinned with two more European towns: Schwalbach in Germany Vernouillet in France

In Second July 2005, deuce trees were planted northerly of a town hall to mark the Twentieth anniversary of the twinning between Yarm and them towns. Two trees come marked using plaques.
